OstroVit Omega 3-6-9 is a food supplement containing valuable omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, plus Vitamin E. Supplied as easy-to-swallow capsules.

OstroVit Omega 3-6-9 - source of valuable unsaturated fatty acids

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fatty acids that the body cannot synthesise, so they must be obtained from external sources. OstroVit uses alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) from flaxseed oil, and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) from oily sea fish. Omega-6 fatty acids include linoleic acid (LA) from sunflower oil and flaxseed oil. Omega-9 fatty acids include oleic acid (OA), found in olive oil, rapeseed oil and other vegetable oils. Vitamin E (DL-alpha-tocopherol) is included in its highest biologically active form.

Properties:

• EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function with a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA.
• DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA.
• ALA and LA contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels with daily intakes of 2 g ALA and 10 g LA.
• Replacement of saturated fats with unsaturated fats (including OA) helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.
• Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Suggested use: 1 serving (1 capsule) per day, preferably after a meal, with sufficient water.
