Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is a fat-soluble, steroid-type vitamin whose absorption is closely linked to dietary fat intake. It enters the body through food (such as oily sea fish) and is also synthesised in the skin. Vitamin D3 is stored primarily in adipose tissue and the liver.

Vitamin K2 (menaquinone) is a fat-soluble vitamin stored in the liver and produced in part by gut microbiota. It is found in plant and animal products and is also available as a supplement. The MK-7 form used by OstroVit is the most bioavailable form of Vitamin K2 and acts synergistically with Vitamin D3.

Active ingredients and functions:

• Vitamin D3: helps maintain healthy bones and teeth, contributes to normal muscle function and supports the immune system. It also aids calcium and phosphorus absorption and utilisation, and participates in the process of cell division.
• Vitamin K2: contributes to normal blood clotting and helps maintain healthy bones.

Suggested use: 1 serving (1 tablet) per day, with a meal. Suitable for persons over 75 years of age.

Warning: do not consume if taking anticoagulant medication with Vitamin K antagonist action (e.g. warfarin or acenocoumarol).
